BUTTERFLY - Orange Tip
The Orange Trip (anthocharis cardamines) is a really dramatic butterfly, with sharply contrasting orange wing tips against pure white wings.
This one was spotted on some vetch growing in one of our hedgerows, which is very typical as they love the variety of plants and wildflowers found there.
As orange tips are one of the earliest butterflies to emerge, the appeareance of their brightly coloured wings is often seen as a beginning of the spring.
