BIRD: Mistle Thrush

A Mistle Thrush (turdus viscivorus) was spotted in a wildlife pond in the orchard.

These birds are larger and plumper than ordainry song thrushes, with a tendency to hold their heads up high. They also tend to perch on the very top of trees, whereas song thrushes prefer middle or lower branches.
